Tahini is a much loved staple in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking, made simply from sesame seeds. This whole sesame version comes from a third generation family producer in Europe, who has been making tahini the same way since 1949. Only carefully selected 100 percent organic, unhulled whole sesame seeds are used. They are gently roasted, then ground into a smooth, creamy paste. Because the seeds are left whole, the flavour is deeper and more distinctive, with a richer aroma that really comes through. The result is a robust, characterful tahini with a fuller taste that stands out in both savoury and sweet dishes.
