Irish Moss (also called Carrageen or sea moss) is primarily used as a vegan alternative to gelatin, a thickener for soups, stews and sauces and to make tea with to act as a cough medicine, or even used in smoothies. It can also be applied on the skin to soothe burns, moisturise and it is known to prevent acne and eczema.
