Villa Andina,
Superfoods from the Heart of Peru
Villa Andina Superfoods was born from a deep connection to Peru's land and farming communities. Co-founded by Jennifer Housman, a British biologist who spent years working in rural development across Peru's northern highlands, the company set out with a clear purpose: to bring the best of Peru's superfoods to the world while creating lasting value for the smallholder farmers who grow them.
Based in Chiclayo, in Peru's northern Lambayeque region, Villa Andina operates a BRC Grade A certified processing facility where we produce fine-flavour cacao products (nibs, powder, butter and paste), dehydrated fruits like mango, pineapple, banana and goldenberry, and Andean staples such as maca and lucuma powder. Our cacao is sourced primarily from smallholder farmers in the Amazon regions of Amazonas, San Martin and Ucayali, while our fruits come from the fertile valleys of Piura, Lambayeque and La Libertad.
We work closely with over 415 farming families, these partnerships help farmers access Organic and Fairtrade certification, improve their practices, and earn better incomes. Sixty-five percent of our workforce are women, and the company is 67% woman-owned. What drives us is a belief that premium quality and social impact go hand in hand. Our certifications include Organic, Fairtrade International, Rain Forest Alliance BRC and Kosher.
